Eren's desire for revenge made me cry even harder because, honestly, I just did not think he stood a chance against those giant muscular monsters. I was a sobbing mess because of how raw the atmosphere of Attack on Titan was. Watching the anime, I cried in the very first episode, and then again in 2nd episode. I watched the anime and then read the manga.and god I cried so many times.(just me? ok) ![]() what a let down" when the mysterious are revealed.Īlso was really hoping that we would get more of the perspective and motivations of the 3 titans that infiltrated Eren's squad but that has never materialized. When the mysteries behind the world are revealed I am reminded of the last season of LOST. Most of the time Eren has spent sitting around while other people do stuff. However this is not the case as the mangaka has created reasons for him not to change which follows the shonen cliche of restricted heroes. This is due to the manga becoming politically focused, where most of the manga is political wheelings and dealings.Īfter Eren became a titan I thought we were going to get a lot of awesome battles with him against the titans. The pace of the series became extremely slow. However the last half of the manga has been pretty poor. The MC was easy to connect to with his strong emotions and we quickly bond with his squad mates. This manga started out amzaing as an almost steam punkish survival story.
